Northern Beaches Council and Eramboo Artist Environment are offering a six-month Artist Residency in 2025.
Before completing this application, please read the Guidelines on the Northern Beaches Council website.
Designed to support mid-career artists, the residency offers the successful applicant free non-residential studio space between February - July 2025.
The residency provides space for an artist to research, experiment and develop new work. The successful applicant will work closely with Eramboo and Northern Beaches Council to share their learnings, knowledge, practices, and work with local audiences.
The program is open to Northern Beaches and Sydney-based multi-disciplinary creatives as individual artists or artist groups.
Disciplines considered include: visual arts, writing, poetry, performance, dance, movement, choreography, film, music and sound. The residency will be self-directed and offers an opportunity to work away from the constraints of everyday life. We encourage creatives to delve deep into their project and take advantage of the Eramboo cultural community already present on-site. Eramboo also encourages creatives to take advantage of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park’s natural environment as a source of research and/or inspiration.
As part of the 2025 program, the creative and/or creative group will be required to mentor emerging artists/creatives. This can be done in a number of ways, from one-to-one mentoring, to a masterclass or workshops. Applicants are required to include a proposal for the mentoring outcome within their submission.
